AVER Georgia president Danny Ingram carries a portrait of Major Alan G Rogers, the first known gay casualty of the war in Iraq, while walking next to Samson, the "cap" horse in Atlanta's annual Veteran's Day Parade, November 11th.  Along with the traditional saddle with Army saber and rearward facing riding boots, Samson carried a placard with information about Rogers pinned to his blue and white blanket:
